New on The Tactical Screen: What Kind of Unit Is This, Anyway?
We’ve all been there. You’re standing at the gaming table, looking at an impressive miniature, and wondering, “What exactly is that chassis?” Not every model catches your eye right away—especially if it’s been modified, comes from a different edition, or has been imaginatively painted.
That’s exactly why there’s now a new tool on The Tactical Screen! Click here to access the tool
Upload a Photo, Find the Chassis
Optical recognition is now available to help you. If you come across an unknown variety in the field, simply take a quick photo with your smartphone and upload it right away.

The system analyzes your photo, compares it to the images stored in the database, and returns the five most likely chassis names. That way, you no longer have to spend time scrolling through forums or the MUL—you’ll have the top candidates right at your fingertips.

A Helper for the Game Table—With Realistic Expectations
First off: The feature doesn’t work 100% perfectly (yet). Lighting, paint jobs, or unusual angles can sometimes make identification difficult. Also, the reference images are all black-and-white line drawings, which also makes recognition more difficult.
In most cases, though, the tool hits the right note—or at least provides exactly the key piece of information you were looking for. As a little extra help, it’s definitely extremely handy and saves precious time!
Try out the feature during your next match and see how well the system recognizes your models. As always, your feedback helps me continue to improve The Tactical Screen step by step!
