Hello everyone,
I am incredibly pleased to present my latest campaign to you today: Operation Broken Sword. This campaign is the result of many hours of work, planning and passion for the Battletech universe. It’s a story about betrayal, survival and strategic decisions – and it’s made for you!
One campaign, two perspectives
In “Broken Sword” you can decide which side you want to be on:
- The Iron Revenants: An experienced mercenary unit that is suddenly branded as traitors and fights for survival on a hostile planet. You are cut off, hunted and on your own. Will you manage to secure resources, fend off the attacks and escape the planet?
- The Draconis Combine: As part of the forces of House Kurita, it is up to you to enforce the “Death to Mercenaries” order. With superior troops and resources, you have the task of destroying the Revenants and keeping the planet under control. But the mercenaries are tough opponents – be prepared for guerrilla attacks and unpredictable tactics.
The story: A deadly conflict
The campaign is set on Valentina, a remote planet of strategic importance. Internal conflicts and pirate attacks have weakened the garrison, which is why the Combine hires the Iron Revenants to restore order. But it soon becomes clear that this mission is a trap: the Coordinator gives the infamous order to eliminate all mercenaries.
While the Revenants fight for their survival, the Combine mobilizes its troops to wipe out the invaders once and for all. Both sides are faced with difficult decisions, and only through strategic skill and clever tactics can one side gain the upper hand.
The campaign at a glance
- Chapter 1: The crash landing
Chaos upon arrival: As Revenants, you must form a line of defense and withstand the initial attacks. As a Kurita player, you have to isolate the invaders and destroy their resources. - Chapter 2: Guerrilla Warfare
The Revenants attack supply bases and convoys in order to survive, while the Kurita forces try to prevent these attacks and regain control. - Chapter 3: Regrouping
The Revenants find refuge in an abandoned research station while Kurita’s elite troops prepare for a targeted offensive. - Chapter 4: The spaceport
The Revenants are betting everything on one card: the spaceport is their only chance of escape. The Kurita troops defend the spaceport with all their might and prepare for the final showdown.
Why I created this campaign
As a big fan of Battletech, I wanted to create a campaign that not only offers exciting battles, but also presents you with strategic and moral challenges. The ability to play both sides gives you the freedom to experience the story from different perspectives and decide how the conflict ends.
