MechStrategen.de is my German language blog for tabletop wargaming with a focus on BattleTech Alpha Strike and Halo: Flashpoint. I offer in-depth analysis, strategies, campaign tips as well as reviews and news about these fascinating games. My goal is to connect the community, help beginners and offer new inspiration to experienced players.

About me

My name is Sören Spieckermann, I come from the beautiful Hohenlohe region in the north-east of Baden Württemberg and I am an enthusiastic tabletop wargamer.

My main focus is on BattleTech: Alpha Strike, as I particularly appreciate the dynamic and tactical battles of this system. Every now and then I also like to play a round of classic BattleTech to enjoy the more detailed side of the game. I also love the skirmisher wargame Halo: Flashpoint, which offers fast and exciting battles in the Halo universe.

What fascinates me so much about this hobby is its versatility: it’s not just about the game itself and the strategic challenges, but also about the creative side. From painting the miniatures to building terrain pieces and designing playing fields – every detail helps to bring the game to life.
