After familiarizing ourselves with the surface in the last part about the MUL, today we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty. In BattleTech, a mech is not just a mech. A Warhammer<\/em> from the year 3025 is a completely different beast to its great-grandson from the year 3145. <\/p>\n\n

The “when”: The eras (Eras)<\/h2>\n\n

The BattleTech timeline spans centuries. MUL divides these into clearly defined eras. This is important because the technology develops massively. You can find detailed information on the eras and their meaning here.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n

Why is this important for your list?<\/strong> If you arrange a game in the Succession Wars<\/em> era, a mech with Clan Ultra AC\/20<\/em> would be an unfair (and lore-wise impossible) advantage. With one click, the MUL filters out all units that match your chosen time period. <\/p>\n\n
