Operation RATatouille <\/h2>\n\n

BattleTech Alpha Strike Event of the Strategiespielefreunde Bad Emstal e.V. <\/h3>\n\n

On the weekend of October 11 and 12, 2025, one of the popular BattleTech Alpha Strike events organized by Strategiespielefreunde Bad Emstal e.V.<\/g> once again took place in Bad Emstal-Sand. Under the title “Operation RATatouille”, a campaign-based scenario with a narrative focus was once again played, offering participants intense, tactical and atmospheric battles. <\/p>\n\n

As the title suggests, this time the focus was not on a clan conflict, but on another chapter in BattleTech history: the 4th Succession War – more precisely, the year 3028. <\/p>\n\n

A campaign event with character<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

As with all Strategy Game Friends events, the focus was not on competition but on the shared experience. The campaign was deliberately not designed as a tournament, but as a narrative event that focused on fun, immersion in the Lore and togetherness. <\/p>\n\n

The aim: to experience exciting battles with like-minded people, bring the stories of the BattleTech universe to life and simply have a good time at the gaming table. <\/p>\n\n

The factions: Federated Suns vs Capellan Confederation Players could decide whether they wanted to fight on the side of the Federated Suns (House Davion) or the Capellan Confederation (House Liao). Alternatively, there was also the option of joining one of the two sides as a mercenary – a nice detail that offered additional narrative freedom. <\/p>\n\n

The battle lines were thus clear: once again, the military strength of the Davions met the indomitable resistance of the Capellans – classic rivalry that BattleTech fans love. Open to beginners and veterans. <\/p>\n\n

A special feature of this event was its accessibility. Even newcomers without their own army could take part, as the organizers provided ready-made forces on request. Likewise, it didn’t matter if someone used a House Liao army and played it as Davion – historical color fidelity was beside the point. <\/p>\n\n

There was also no painting requirement, which made it even easier to get started. So the focus was clearly on having fun with the game – not on studying the rules or visual perfectionism. <\/p>\n\n
