Heavy BattleMechs are the backbone of many armed forces in BattleTech: Alpha Strike<\/a><\/em>. With their massive armor and impressive firepower, they are ideal for attacking heavily defended positions or defending strategically important points. However, their comparatively slow speed and limited mobility require clever positioning and forward planning. <\/p>\n\n

1. Extreme durability<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Heavy mechs have thick armor that makes them extremely resistant to enemy fire. They can take hits that would quickly put lighter mechs out of action. <\/p>\n\n

With powerful energy and ballistic weapons, heavy BattleMechs<\/a> can inflict considerable damage – especially at medium to short range. Many models combine long-range weapons with devastating melee weapons to remain a threat at any range. <\/p>\n\n

Few or no jump jets mean that heavy mechs often have difficulty overcoming difficult terrain quickly. Hills, buildings or water obstacles can slow them down. <\/p>\n\n
